Talking Points:

1. 1.Explain who you are and that you are calling on behalf of Nice Cream.
   

2. 2.Explain the situation.  In brief - Nice Cream got shut down by the Illinois Department of Public Health this Summer for not having a “dairy license”.  The dairy regulations were written for huge ice cream companies, not little guys like us.  The regulations required a lot of cost prohibitive unnecessary changes.  For one, that Nice Cream buy a $40,000 piece of equipment. 
   

3. 3.This impacts other small ice cream companies in Illinois too!
   

4. 4.We want there to be legislation that puts small ice cream makers in a different category than huge manufacturers.
